Taking the ube cheese pandesal a step further – Pan de Manila is selling it in ice cream form

Hobbies were rampant at the beginning of quarantine because we all had to do something, anything, to pass the time in our homes. Since food is something that we can enjoy once we make it, people were going crazy over food trends like Baked Sushi or Dalgona Coffee.

But there’s another type of food that you’ve probably seen a lot on your social media, and this is the Ube Cheese Pandesal. Purple pandesal flavored with ube and filled with cheese – what’s not to love? Aside from people making this themselves, online bakeries also took part and started selling them.

Ube Cheese Pandesal might not be trending now, but it’s still good comfort food.

Since it’s been months since this was last trending, Pan De Manila (seller of bread and yes, fresh pandesal) changed it up a bit. Instead of the usual ube pandesal with cheese filling, they made an ice cream combining the two flavors. If you want pandesal to go with it, you can just order a bag of freshly baked pandesal at Pan De Manila. Definitely a match made in heaven!

Another reason to buy their ice cream is that it’s made with zero preservatives, zero artificial flavors, and zero food coloring.

Priced at P180, you can get Ube Cheese Ice Cream at select Pan De Manila stores. To order online, you can add it to cart at MetroMart.
