One of the things I miss in the pre-COVID world is visiting Asian groceries that peppered Metro Manila. From Chinese groceries to Korean marts, it’s always interesting to browse and buy items that I’m not really familiar with due to the foreign characters on the packaging.
While Asian groceries are still open in the Metro, you might be hesitant to go romping around town like you used to. If you’re looking to shop online for items found in Asian groceries, there are digital stores out there that can deliver right to your doorstep.
Hong Kong House
One Asian grocery that is available online is Hong Kong House. The offer a wide range of items from different countries in Asia. Aside from the usual food items, they also stock up on home items and beauty care. Their website is also neatly categorized so you can shop by category or by country.
If you live outside Metro Manila but want to order, contact them at 0915 418 1596 to arrange deliveries. Cash on delivery is only available for Metro Manila residents.
Can’t find what you’re looking for in Hong Kong House’s website? You can actually request for the unavailable item and they’ll source the item for you!
Go Grill Mart
Go Grill Mart has a cute physical store in Quezon City but they also take orders online. They specialize in Korean and Japanese products so if you’re looking to relive your K-Dramas or J-Dramas, they’re the shop to check out! They even sell samgyupsal sets and grilling equipment so you can eat samgyup safely at home.
They only deliver within Metro Manila and selected areas in Rizal, and they don’t allow cash on delivery so they can limit physical contact.
For those living in Antipolo, you can order from Hanna Minimart. They’re closing the physical shop at the end of November and so they’re transitioning their operations online. You can buy food, groceries, and goods from this Asian grocery store. They also have weekly deals so tune in for that to get a discount on certain items.
While Hannah Minimart is only available to Antipolo residents, they said they’ll be expanding their delivery areas soon.
