The color of the plate you’re eating off can impact the amount of food you consume. According to Self Magazine, people eat less if there is a higher contrast in colors between the plate and the food. This means that the portion of pasta you’re eating will look larger in contrast with a blue plate. Plus, the color blue is an appetite suppressant, so it might be worth investing in blue plates. 

Eat less, but more frequently

Instead of eating three large meals, you should consider opting to eat smaller portions, but more frequently throughout the day. As per Cleaveland Clinic, mini-meals can satisfy the appetite, stabilize your sugar levels and provide nutrients to your body. Plus, you don’t have to go cold turkey to follow this hack, which is a total win. 

Have healthy snacks on standby

When you’re hungry or bored, resist the urge to have fast food delivered by stocking up on healthy snacks at home. From mixed nuts to fruit slices, there are a lot of delicious yet nutritious options for you to choose from. The bonus is that you’ll get to save a lot of money by not opting for food delivery. 

Get enough sleep

The Sleep Foundation shared that lack of sleep can increase one’s appetite and slow down one’s metabolism, and that’s why a healthy sleeping pattern is essential for weight management. You’ll feel refreshed when you get enough zzzs as well.
