Vision boards are understandably a popular tool used for goal setting — they’re a way of putting your intentions out into the universe. As much as it would be easier to just go with the ebb and flow of things, having goals and visualizing them could help drive you in the direction you want to take in life.
What is a Vision Board?
Simply put, a vision board is a method of designing your ideal life. It could be a recreational project that helps you get to know yourself better and what you want to achieve. There’s no right or wrong way of creating one as it’s supposed to resonate with your ideals.
Write Down Your Goals
Write down specific goals you want to achieve, may it be for health, career, finance, or family. While drafting your aspirations, keep in mind the things you want to manifest into your life. You don’t necessarily have to focus on material things; include things you want to feel like being happier or having mental clarity. Having this outlined streamlines the process as you’ll know exactly which pictures you’ll want to include in your vision board.
Create a Vision Board
Instagram and Pinterest are great places to look for inspiration. Going off the list of your goals, gather a bunch of pictures and quotes that represent them and create a collage. You could either do a digital version or have it printed to be displayed somewhere in your home. The end-product should be something that gets you excited and motivated to work towards your goals.
Display your vision board somewhere visible like your bedside table or use it as your laptop wallpaper if that’s something you often look at. The key is to have it in constant view as a visual cue to take action. You won’t bring any of your images into fruition if you just stare at it.
