PlayStation Now Has An Official Mobile Controller, Courtesy Of Backbone

The controller will only be available to iOS users for now.

Soon, you can play your favorite PS4 games on your mobile device. When the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition drops, that is.

Mobile gamers use Backbone controllers to emulate a console controller for their phones. The PlayStation edition isn’t too far from their other models. The only difference is that it looks like the PS5‘s DualSense controller. It’s white, has colored face buttons, and has a matte finish. It’s like a copy of PlayStation’s latest controller. But its analog sticks are still the ones Backbone uses with their previous models.

The Backbone app integrates features with the PlayStation and PS Remote Play apps. This is something the company says will “make the experience even more special.”

The tech company designed their latest controller with the same old functionality. The difference between their PlayStation collab with other models is iPhone support. They also said PlayStation’s Pulse 3D headset will connect and work with the device.

Backbone’s device can “deep link you into the PlayStation app to install it onto your console so you can play it later via PS Remote Play.”

Backbone’s partnership with PlayStation isn’t their first. The company worked with Microsoft and Blizzard recently. Their next goal is to expand the company further. For instance, they plan to release an Android model of the PlayStation Backbone soon.
