Bring Home The Scent Of IKEA With These Meatball-Scented Candles

There are lots of interesting candle scents available these days: from oppa-inspired candles, Amoy Jowa candles, to ones that smell like Drake himself—we’ve heard (and smelled) them all.

Aside from ones that smell like you have company, there are also candles that smell like food, such as meat-scented candles from A1 and gravy-scented candles from KFC.

Furniture chain IKEA is joining in on the fun, too, now that they’re releasing their own food-inspired candles that smell just like their famous meatballs!

To celebrate IKEA Family‘s 10th anniversary, the company is raffling off 1,925 meatball-scented candles to lucky IKEA Family Club members who will join the “IKEA Store in a Box” contest.

“Whether you’re lounging in a bubble bath or meditating in your room, add some spice to any activity with our limited edition HUVUDROLL meatball-scented candle, created just for our 10 year anniversary of IKEA Family,” IKEA posted on Instagram.

The 986 grand prize winners of the “IKEA Store in a Box” promotion will get an IKEA Prize Box, while the 1,925 runner-up prize winners will all get a Huvudroll candle.

“For many people, one of the first things that comes to mind when they think of IKEA is their delicious and affordable Swedish meatballs. There’s no other furniture brand out there with a food offering that has such a strong following,” Sho Matsuzaki, creative director at Ogilvy, shared to The Post.

“So for the IKEA Family 10-year anniversary, we thought it would be fitting to create something unexpected that our IKEA Family members and meatball super-fans would love. And yes, it does very much smell like IKEA meatballs.”

Every year, the Swedish company sells over one billion pieces of their iconic meatballs that became the inspiration for their limited-edition candle. Other famous menu items from IKEA include their traditional breakfast (eggs, potatoes, meat, waffles), almond cake, and cinnamon buns.
