Gastropub District 8 is a restobar that touts a long list of celebrity partners. Daniel Padilla, Vice Ganda, James Yap, Marc Pingris, Paul Artadi, Kel Zaguirre, Francis Zamora, and Charlton Yu all hold a stake in the trendy, urban-styled restaurant located in the Greenhills area. Other local celebs often frequent District 8, as it regularly holds events and private bookings.

Liza Soberano

Young actress Liza Soberano has proven to be business-minded with the opening of her spa, Hope Hand and Foot Wellness Center. It’s located in Tomas Morato and focuses on wellness as a “mindset, lifestyle, and ritual.” While the spa is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, you can follow its Instagram and Facebook page for more updates.

Marian Rivera-Dantes

In September 2020, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes launched her flower shop online and was met with overwhelming support. Flora Vida, inspired by the mother of two’s floristry class in Kyoto, offers carefully arranged preserved flowers that can last up to two years with minimal care. The shop, which also sells locally sourced vases, has recently branched out into home goods like placemats, printed lamps, and pillows.

James Reid

Singer, songwriter, and producer James Reid ventured further into the music scene by creating Careless Music Manila. The record label famously signs up-and-coming artists all across the country, allowing for younger, lesser-known talent to prove themselves. Conceptualized and put together by Reid and fellow ex-PBB housemate Bret Jackson, Careless Music is home to a number of celeb pals like Nadine Lustre and Curtismith.

Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo

Certified cat lovers Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo opened up their cat café, Litterbucks, in February 2020. The QC-based cat lounge features the pair’s seven cats and offers a menu of delicious cookies, tea, and coffee. The business was briefly hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic, but has now re-opened for take-out and delivery. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to meet the couple’s furry pals as the cat lounge remains closed until further notice.
