Want to be more productive? These mobile apps will help you keep on top of things

Sometimes, productivity eludes us so we spend hours scrolling on social media or binge-watching tv shows. It’s so much easier to get distracted because we spend most of our time indoors now due to the ongoing pandemic. If before we had a special space to work (the office), now we have to share our rest space with other activities as well.

To help you keep on top of things, there are numerous productivity apps to remind you of what you need to do and make sure you’re doing them.

Not sure where to start? Here are five free productivity apps to help you out:

Todoist

Doing tasks is so much easier when you have a list you can keep coming back to. Todoist lets you list down the things you need to do and then specify when you need to do them. You can also group them into separate projects so you can compartmentalize your tasks.

Trello

Another app that can group your tasks is Trello. You’ll have boards you can label in one page, and then you can move around your tasks depending on their status. Moving a project from To Do, Doing, and then Done is so satisfying, but you can also build your own system on how you want to tackle your tasks per board. If you’re working in teams, the boards can also help you keep track of each other’s tasks.

Google Keep

If you’re the type to take a lot of notes and scribbles, then Google Keep is the productivity app for you. Instead of post-it notes on your wall, you can use this to compile your notes – be it to-do lists or simple reminders.

Evernote

Another note-taking app is Evernote. Aside from basic note-taking features, you can easily scan documents to help you keep information. You can also save web pages and scribble on them to emphasize the parts you want to remember.
