For those who have been single and ready to mingle since quarantine started, we imagine it must suck to get stuck in the talking stage and not be able to meet. Fortunately, more and more places around the world are starting to reopen, and Bumble is catching up with a solution to our lockdown sadness.
Enter Bumble Brew, a brand-new and first-ever all-day café and wine bar that’s set to open in Manhattan in New York City this month. Made possible through a partnership with Delicious Hospitality Group, the dating app’s new drink-and-dine venture aims to provide a space for “the community to gather, for genuine connections to be built, and for guests to interact.”
Our community clearly had an appetite for a permanent physical location to connect, so we created Bumble Brew,” its official website read. “We recognize the importance of relationships and how crucial they are to a healthy, happy life.”
Designed by FLOAT Design Studio, the 3,760-square-foot restaurant boasts an 80-seat dining room, cocktail bar, patio, and private dining. According to a tip obtained by Good Morning America, the “Italian-inspired menu was created by chef Ryan Hardy, and will feature vegetables, handmade pasta and shareable plates.”
And since Bumble is faithful to its female-first principles, the café’s ambient music playlists will comprise mostly women artists.
Before the idea of Bumble Brew came to be, the popular dating app only brought the digital dating experience to reality through Bumble Hive pop-ups. Here, people had the “opportunity to enjoy company over food and drinks, foster connections, and experience entertainment and interactive sessions with entrepreneurs and thought-leaders, but it only ever lasted until the pop-up moved towns.
Hence, the Bumble Brew — with its benefit of permanence — was born.
“At Bumble, we’re fueled by bringing people together to build genuine connections — both on and off the app,” said Julia Smith, head of brand partnerships at Bumble, per Good Morning America. “We hope that people can gather at Bumble Brew and connect over an espresso or delicious meal, whether it’s with friends, a potential partner, or a new business connection.”
Bumble Brew will open to guests on July 24 at Kenmare Street in the Nolita neighborhood of downtown New York City.
