Another Filipina stunner has made it to a digital billboard in the Big Apple!
After local icons James Reid, Nadine Lustre, and Reese Lansangan got their fair share of fame with individual digital billboard exposures on New York City’s Times Square, another Filipina gets featured for NY spectators to see: Filipina beauty queen Leren Mae Bautista, whose magazine cover flashed front and center in the iconic landmark.
Bautista, who finished as the second runner-up in Miss Globe 2019, took to social media to share a clip of the wonderful news. In her caption, the 28-year-old stunner said that the publicity was for Pinay Magazine, a quarterly publication dedicated to Filipinas worldwide.
“Good morning Pilipinas! We made it to Times Square, NYC! I am happy to announce that @pinaymagazine made this dream possible,” Bautista wrote, also thanking everyone behind her cover feature.
“Dati parangap ko lang makapunta ng New York to perform and show my talent. Now, I have my face up on one of Times Square’s billboards and it is because of @pinaymagazine who believed in me.”
She then ended her post on a high note: “When the time is right, the Universe will let it happen. Thank you Lord for all the blessings!”
Bautista’s Times Square stint was also reposted by Binibining Pilipinas, the national pageant that crowned her as the country’s representative in the Miss Globe competition.
Bautista is set to pass on her crown to the next Binibining Pilipinas-Globe when the pageant takes place this July 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The event will also see the succession of three new queens, including Miss International, Miss Grand International, and Miss Intercontinental.
