This stray dog in Brazil proves that persistency can be rewarding. After visiting a Hyundai dealership regularly, the branch decided to officially employ him and give him a home. They even named him after one of the brand’s car models, Tucson Prime, and handed him an ID card with the job title “pawfessional consultant”.
Before becoming a permanent member of the team, Tucson Prime used to hang outside the dealership. Showroom Manager, Emerson Mariano, took pity on the animal and offered him food and water on a rainy night and thought he’d eventually find shelter elsewhere like other strays. But that wasn’t the case for this dog. He kept coming back and his supposedly temporary stay led to a full-time position with benefits, like vaccinations and treats.
It was no trouble convincing the company board to hire the dog because of how friendly he was towards other staff and customers. “After all, the company has always been pet-friendly, so now, we decided to embrace the idea in practice, too, having our own pet precisely at a more complicated time like this with so many abandoned animals,” says Mariano in an interview with Top Motors Brazil. The Showroom Manager goes on to say that customer service feedback has been exceptional, and that work has been better thanks to his presence.
After almost a year of working at the Hyundai Brazil dealership, Tucson Prime is still making the rounds on social media. Aside from being featured on the brand’s Instagram page, he has his own account that has amassed almost 170,000 as of writing. Some of the photos posted are of him in the car, working with a headset on, or interacting with customers. Several customers were reported to have come back just to say hi or drop off treats for him.
Watch out for more of this hardworking employee as Bored Panda confirms that Tucson Prime will soon be appearing in a Brazilian Hyundai advertisement.
