Facebook launched a redesigned social media experience by dropping the ‘likes’ button on public pages and would focus on ‘followers.’
The social media giant released an announcement on Wednesday saying they will only show the number of followers for pages created for artists, brands, public figures and more.
Facebook also introduced a ‘Dedicated news feed’ wherein users can “discover and join conversations, follow trends, interact with peers and engage with fans.”
“We are removing Likes and focusing on Followers to simplify the way people connect with their favorite Pages,” Facebook said on their announcement.
