Amidst this lengthy quarantine, some people have turned into creative outlets like painting and sketching for relief, while some have settled with shooting vlogs or taking selfies to pass the time. If you’re the type to do both, then feel free to unleash your artistic self with Google Arts & Culture’s AI-powered augmented reality (AR) filters.

On the latest update to the Google Arts & Culture application, they added 3D-modelled AR filters so you can turn your selfie into a masterpiece (kind of). Take a snapshot and turn into Frida Kahlo or Vincent Van Gogh’s self-portraits; don a Samurai helmet with a Tengu mask or a fancy Faience collar necklace from Ancient Egypt; or turn into Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring.”

Just open the app, snap a photo, and select “Art Transfer” to choose from dozens of signature style by history’s most famous artists. You can also customize your selfie by using the scissors tool to select the area where you want to apply the filter.

Aside from the enjoyable filters, Google Arts & Culture has also stepped up with tons of other cool features. You can use the app to find your “art doppelganger,” view collections from around 2,000 museums from around the world including New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, and join VR tours of historic landmarks like the Versailles Palace (you’d need a VR gadget though!). You can also join in on interactive art activities to learn more about art in a fun way.
