It may be far from Halloween, but it’s always fun to watch horror movies in the comforts of your home. It’s comforting to watch the classics, but Netflix is taking all the elements of your favorite horror classics.
Yes, the Fear Street Trilogy is an epic summer movie event over three consecutive weeks this July. The first installment is currently streaming on Netflix, and fans have been raving about it ever since. What’s great about the films is that although it borrows a lot of elements from horror movie classics, they’re original in their own right.
The second part of the three-part series started premiering on Netflix last July 9, and it will take audiences back to 1978. Here’s what the streaming giant had to say about the flick:
Shadyside, 1978. School’s out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. But when another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight for survival.
There’s nothing like a good slasher flick, right? If you’ve watched Fear Street Part 1:1994 on Netflix, you’d notice how there were cryptic messages about something that happened in the past. It looks like the audience will find out what exactly went down in the second movie.
Fear Street Part 2: 1978 stars Sadie Sink of Stranger Things fame, another popular series from Netflix. She will be joined by Emily Rudd, Chiara Aurelia and Kiana Madeira. The cast may be full of Gen Z talent, but the second installment of the Fear Street Trilogy will definitely be a nostalgic look at old horror classics.
The last installment of the trilogy, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, is set to debut on Netflix on July 16. All three films are definitely worth the scream and stream.
