It’s time to witness live shows once again at the metro’s most iconic theater!
Since the world is going back to normal, Ayala Land has unveiled a surprise for theatergoers. The Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati will host two new productions. On deck are Mula sa Buwan and We Will Rock You.
Mula sa Buwan is a reimagining of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac. It was last staged at the Hyundai Hall of Areté in Ateneo de Manila University. The Circuit Makati run will begin on August 26. Myke Salomon and Markki Stroem are set to take over the roles of Cyrano and Christian. Gab Pangilinan will reprise the role of Roxane, which she played in a previous run.
Meanwhile, the rock musical We Will Rock You is set for its own run at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater. The musical tells the story of two people out to “save rock ‘n’ roll” in a post-apocalyptic world. It features music from the legendary band Queen. It will begin a six-week run on October 27.
The Samsung Performing Arts Theater
Ayala Land gives us a world-class experience with the Samsung Performing Arts Theater. From the ground floor, guests can take a scenic route to the fifth floor, where the ticket outlet is.
What makes the theater stand out is the high ceilings and windows with various works of art. Some of those pieces were by Jaime Zobel de Ayala. The interior also has a warm feel. As for the stage, it’s the only local stage with state-of-the-art Harlequin© spring floors. This type of flooring makes dancers less prone to injuries. Here, they need not worry about slipping and falling during performances.
The orchestra sections and the balcony floor seat 1,500 guests. There’s also a concession area and spacious restrooms. Guests can expect the best from the theater’s concessionaires. After all, it’s staffed by none other than Kai Restaurant Chef Gilbert Pangilinan.
Audiences and performers alike will have a great time at this venue. You can check out this website for more information.
