Unlimited tequila drinks, anyone? Hop on the Jose Cuervo Express and take a tour on the Tequila Train where you get scenic views of Mexico, featuring vast blue agave fields while having all-you-can-drink alcoholic beverages. After almost a year of postponed trips, the Jose Cuervo Express has gone back on the railway on December 5, 2020, with an added Elite Experience.
Express Wagon
The ride is about 11-hours long and takes its guests between the towns of Guadalajara and Tequila, with visits to the agave fields, a tour of the Centro Cultural Juan Beckmann Gallardo, and free time to explore The Magical town of Tequila, where the oldest distillery in Latin America is located. They also show you some of the best things Mexico has to offer such as traditional tamales and fruity cocktails, Mexican-style bingo, and a mariachi band.

And of course, this being a Tequila Train, it wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t have an Educational Tasting guided by an Expert Taster, a virtual tour of the Mundo Cuervo facilities where the tequila production happens, and a traditional toast with one of their premium tequilas. Tequila enthusiasts are in for a treat when they make this a part of their itinerary — all of this for the price of $2,420 mxn (P5,800*).
Elite Wagon
Upgrading to the Elite Experience will cost you $3,300 mxn (P7,800*) and gets you everything mentioned above, plus a luxurious ride. Guests in this class get to be the first few to journey on this wagon that’s decked with wood panels, floor-to-ceiling windows, and two lounge areas. For what you’re paying you’ll have a taste of their Reserva de la Familia tequila: Platinum, Reposado, and Extra Añejo, exclusive cocktails, and enjoy access to the Premium Bar on board. You’ll even get to visit Tienda de Raya, the largest bar counter in Latin America.
