Iconic NYC Locations from the Gossip Girl Reboot

The Gossip Girl reboot introduced us to many new elite Upper East Siders. But, if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s that it still takes place in the Big Apple. It wouldn’t be the show we’ve all come to love, after all, if it weren’t for the iconic New York City locations. See if you can spot some of these familiar places on the show.

The Museum of the City of New York

Constance Billard and St. Jude’s is a fictional exclusive private school in the Gossip Girl universe, but the building where they shoot actually exists in real life. It’s set outside the courtyard of the Museum of the City of New York, where the students mingle before class.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Serena and Blair are out of the picture, and the new students of Constance and St. Jude are taking over the MET stairs. On the show, it’s where you’ll find the cool kids having lunch. Feel special if you get an invite to sit with them.

DUMBO, Brooklyn

Obie and Zoya are seen Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass one night after ditching a party at Dumbo Club. There’s a scenic view of the Manhattan Bridge right before they take shelter at his loft. Co-creator Josh Schwartz reveals some of the characters live in this area instead of the Upper East Side.

Park Avenue Armory

The historic armory is where exclusive concerts, plays, art exhibits, and fashion shows are held. This includes the Christopher John Rogers fashion show that Julien Calloway strutted for in the first episode of the reboot.

Beekman Hotel

Located in Lower Manhattan, the Beekman Hotel’s 52nd floor is used as the Calloway’s Tribeca penthouse. While other characters’ residences were shot on a set, this was one of the few that was filmed on location, according to House Beautiful.

Catch new episodes of Gossip Girl on HBO Max and see what kind of drama will ensue next. Keep an eye out for more iconic New York locations these elite teenagers will be heading to.
