Sad news, Southies. BF Ruins Bazaar & Night Market is closing for good.
The marketplace that is formally known as Good Shepherd Bazaar in BF Homes, Paranaque, will only be open until December 30. Dubbed the Greenhills or Divisoria of the South, Ruins was a one-stop-shop because it had everything from phone repair services, gift items, and after-shopping snacks. Here’s everything we’ll miss when they shut down.
Last-Minute Gift Shopping
Who remembers when their parents would take them here to buy last-minute gifts? Before online shopping apps were widely available, people flocked to Ruins to purchase items they couldn’t find at the malls.
Apart from having repair services and gift items, food stalls are also available at Ruins. Those who grew up in the area might have fond memories of hanging out here to get after-school snacks. Isaw, fish ball, and chicken skin FTW!
Ruins haven’t let us down when we needed a whole outfit for events and parties. When Christmas parties and prom season is around the corner, this was the first place we’d check out for affordable shoes and clothing items.
They sold consoles, games, controllers, and did repairs for a fraction of the price, so you can understand why it was a gamers’ haven. They even sold DVDs and burned CDs back when that was still a thing.
Instead of traveling all the way to Greenhills to get your phone repaired, you could take it to Ruins to have it fixed. Need a new phone case and screen protector? They also have it here, along with other mobile accessories.
Many memories were made here, but it’s time to say goodbye. According to the management, the lot has already been sold, and they’re given until the month to operate. Feel nostalgic and visit the place one last time as there’s no word yet where they’ll move or if they’ll ever open again.
