Maintain your peace with these meditation apps

It’s been more than six months of quarantine in the Philippines and the number of cases keeps rising more and more each day. In these unprecedented times, a lot of us might be feeling lost or anxious. To help you cope, meditation might help.

Meditation is the act of focusing the mind to achieve a clearer mental state. Through focused concentration, the person meditating calms the mind to better address the stress they’re currently going through.

Not sure how to start? Here are some meditation apps to help you get started.

Headspace

Headspace is a meditation app that offers good courses especially for beginners. Aside from their easy to follow Basics pack, they have a lot of courses for you to choose from depending on which aspect of life you’re trying to work on, and categories like Sleep, Move, and Focus.

Calm

Meditating with Calm is a lot like meditating with nature because of the adjustable background sounds that accompany each session. Aside from their meditation packs, Calm has sleep stories to help you sleep better and not so typical meditations for “non-meditating people”.
