While the country remains to be mostly conservative and hush hush on matters of reproductive health, there has been an increased discussion on the importance of educating the nation on safe and effective contraceptive methods.
Because more Pinays have expressed their need for sexual and reproductive rights and health services in the Philippines, Likhaan Center for Women’s Health was born. Established in 1995, this non-government organization provides women with a wide range of contraceptives: birth control pills, condoms, injectables, implants, copper IUDs, and more. Plus, some of their clinics even offer services such as cancer screening, antenatal care, and birthing services.
In addition to these services, this NGO accommodates counseling, screening, and testing for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV, and reproductive health information for adolescents. If you’re curious to know more but are hesitant to visit one of their clinics yourself, they also offer teleconsultations.
And guess what? Likhaan offers all of these for FREE with assured confidentiality, making contraceptives and reproductive health services accessible to Filipinas.
In case you want to pay them a visit, they have clinics in Quezon City, Pasay, Navotas, Manila, Bulacan, and Eastern Samar. Just take note that their center in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan requires clients to request an appointment in advance, but all the rest accept walk-ins and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Likhaan makes sure your information is CONFIDENTIAL to spare you from the possible embarrassment you may be feeling. Now more than ever, it’s important to stay smart and of course, to stay safe.Â
