In layman’s terms, it exfoliates and brightens the skin as well as unclogs the pores to prevent blackheads, whiteheads, and acne breakouts.

It should be noted that salicylic acid is best for those with oily, acne-prone skin. Those with sensitive or dry skin should steer clear of it as it can be very drying and irritating for some people. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to avoid using products with this ingredient as well.
