While Topshop, Topman, Burton, and Dorothy Perkins are already closing their stores in the Philippines this year, a fellow fashion brand from the United Kingdom is just set to open its first.

COS, a British fashion brand under the H&M Group, will soon add Metro Manila to its growing list of store locations worldwide. The brand is known for its timeless, minimalist, and sustainable pieces.
Timeless and sustainable
COS creates fashion pieces for women, men, and children that are “made to last beyond the latest season.” They take pride in their quality items with timeless designs that will last long in one’s closet. They also constantly collaborate with different artists, studios, and galleries in an effort to show their support to “the world of art and design.”
Aside from this, the brand also also uses “planet-friendly” fabrics and materials and aims to be 100% sustainable by 2030. Last year, COS launched denim pants that are dyed using clay to prevent fading and the need to buy more jeans.
Heading to Metro Manila
This fashion brand was founded in London in 2007, and later on opened its first online store in 2011. As of November 2020, it already has 291 stores spread across the world, from Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East, to Australia.
The very first COS store in the Philippines is set to arrive in the country by spring 2021, together with its COS Spring 2021 Collection. It will be located at SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Christoffer Sellin, the Managing Director for COS Asia Pacific said, “Opening in the Philippines is an exciting step for the COS Brand. We have been hoping to enter the market for some time and I think our new Manila store is a great place to start. I’m excited to see how new customers will engage with our brand and collections.”
