Foot Locker’s Largest Store In Southeast Asia Will Open In The Philippines Soon

Sneakerheads are in for a treat this December!

Mitra Adiperkasa (MAPI) recently announced an expansion of its partnership with Foot Locker.

The company is a leading global athletic footwear and apparel retailer. Its outlets sell the newest performance goods produced by athletic brands. Basketball, running, and training are some of the sports the company provides gear for.

Indonesia’s leading lifestyle retailer plans to operate the stores in the Philippines. MAPI’s portfolio includes more than 150 world-class brands, from food to fashion. MAPI manages around 2,400 retail stores in 79 Indonesian cities as of March 2022.

MAPA plans to develop Foot Locker in the Philippines, a high-potential market in Asia. This comes after their expansion in Indonesia. Both companies aim to market the world’s largest sports and shoe brands in the country.

A Foot Locker store is set to open in December at Glorietta-Ayala Malls. This will be the first one in the Philippines, and it will reportedly be the largest one in Southeast Asia. This means Filipinos will finally have access to Foot Locker’s brands.

“We’re excited to announce our partnership with Foot Locker, Inc. It will let us bring youth active lifestyle and sneaker culture to the Philippines. We’re honored that they trusted MAPA to provide the best customer experience. We look forward to elevating the standards of Philippine retail,” said V.P. Sharma, CEO of MAP Group.
