“Squid Game” actress and fashion model Hoyeon Jung has been named as the new Global House Ambassador for Fashion, Watches, and Jewelry of luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
Jung has previously modeled for the brand, walking the runway for the French fashion house in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She also joined the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2017 and Fall/Winter 2017 campaigns.
“Perfectly embodying the independent #LouisVuitton woman, the Netflix #SquidGame star embarks on this new journey with the maison after first gracing the runway and being featured in a ready-to-wear campaign in 2017,” the brand posted on Instagram.
Jung calls this partnership a “new start” since it marks her first time working with the maison after making her acting debut this year.
“It is an honor to start my acting career with Louis Vuitton, the brand I have modeled for. I look forward to all the moments with Louis Vuitton as a global ambassador,” she said.
The artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière, also expressed his excitement about working with Jung again.
“I immediately fell in love with Hoyeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago,” he said.
