Sneakerheads and hypebeasts excitedly waited for the Nike and Tiffany & Co. sneaker release
The famous Tiffany Blue has finally landed on a sneaker following the announcement of the Nike and Tiffany & Co collaboration in February 2023.
At first, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Tiffany & Co. “1837” might seem just like the regular Black Air Force 1. But upon closer look, one would notice that a Tiffany label done in silver script adorns the tongue while the heel features small silver Tiffany plates sharing space with the Nike Air logo.
But what makes this pair truly stand out is the Tiffany blue swoosh that provides the perfect focal point to an otherwise plain black shoe.The shade of bluish green known as Tiffany Blue has earned an iconic status in the world over that it can distinctly be identified with the famous jewelry brand.
Will it have a Nike or Tiffany & Co. pricing?
The pair, which dropped on March 5 in the Philippines via the Nike SNKRS app, retails at P21,195 or a little over $400.
Despite that hefty price, many hypebeasts, fashionistas, sneakerheads, and Tiffany collectors from all around the globe tried to cop a pair.
However, much to their despair, the limited edition kicks easily got sold out on the site leaving many disappointed.
Demand among sneakerheads also skyrocketed for the Nike and Tiffany collaboration because of the possibility of a “quick flip” on resale marketplaces like StockX and Goat. Regular customers, in addition to hardcore resellers, will buy a shoe with the sole intent of turning a large profit off of it after stock sells out.
Currently, customers that want a pair of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Tiffany & Co. “1837” will have to pay $1,200 or around P66,268.20 on StockX or other resale sites — three times higher than the $400 retail price.
So, breakfast with this Tiffany, anyone?
