The penthouse, which once belonged to Mattel founders and Barbie creators Ruth and Elliot Handler, will become someone’s new home for almost $10 million.

Current owner Nicole Sassaman said she is ready to move on and let someone else enjoy the 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condominium unit where her family has been living in for over 9 years already. Nicole bought the penthouse from Barbara Segal, the daughter of Ruth and Elliot Handler, in 2012.

“I’m ready to let someone else have the dollhouse. It’s healthy to teach my daughter about detachment because nothing lasts forever. That’s part of why I have to let go and move on to something new. Change leads to growth,” Nicole told The Post.

The Handlers’ children and namesake of the iconic Mattel dolls, Barbara (Barbie) and Kenneth (Ken), grew up in the same condominium unit situated in Los Angeles. But it wasn’t until Barbara sold the place to Nicole that the 3,200-square-foot place transformed into a Barbie-inspired penthouse.

“I didn’t know how much you loved Barbies and it is very touching seeing how you centered the whole project around her,” Barbara wrote to Nicole. “I wish my parents could see what you did!”

As an interior designer, Nicole calls the “dollhouse” a “major hallmark of [her] career.” She also published a book entitled “Barbie Penthouse” that shows how she redesigned the place back in 2015.
