Instagram thrift shops to check out while in community quarantine

One of the things I missed doing while stuck in quarantine was thrifting. I missed going from store to store, taking my time to look for a piece of clothing that fits my current style obsession, and then haggling for a cheaper price when I bring too many to the checkout counter. Aside from this being a cheaper alternative to buying brand new clothes, thrifting is also much more sustainable for the environment.

With nowhere else to go but the internet, I resorted to buying thrifted clothes online. The following IG stores are just some of my absolute favorites!

MULI (@muli.mnl)

Aside from selling beautifully curated pieces, MULI styles their items in a way that inspires buyers to wear them confidently. Each item of clothing is modeled by the owner so browsing her Instagram feed is like browsing a fashion lookbook!

PansyPants (@pansypants_)

All of the IG thrift shops I’ve seen based in General Santos sell the most beautiful thrifted items and PansyPants is one of them. Her shop sells a wide range of dresses, tops, bottoms, and even some intimates so you’ll never run out of options to choose from.

The Attic (@theattic_ph)

Looking for your next pair of pants? The Attic is definitely the shop to check out if you’re looking to buy bottoms because they offer them in different styles, colors, and textures. Aside from their collection of pants, they also sell cute skirts!

Ukay Steals (@ukaysteals)

Ukay Steals’ thrifted items are perfect for picnics by the countryside or for simply looking chic while we socially distance ourselves. This shop’s handpicked vintage clothes are so dainty and flattering.

Reclamare – PH (@reclamare.ph)

Reclamare reworks and embroiders thrifted items and turns them into uniquely beautiful pieces. The shop enhances simple items of clothing through careful alterations and crafty modifications. Definitely check out this shop for one of a kind pieces because they also have made to order items.
