This 2023, everyone is expected to follow new skincare resolutions. After all, everyone is into skincare these days.

1. Sunscreen should be part of our everyday routine

Although most people now work from home, we are still exposed to radiation from our gadgets, especially computers and smartphones. The UVA, UVB, and blue light from these devices can potentially damage our skin, increasing production of melanin or pigmentation, leading to melanoma and age spots.

Aside from that, blue light may also create free radicals. These can cause inflammation that may lead to the breakdown of collage and elastic tissue in a person’s skin.

As 24-year-old Lois Tagle discovers this, she commits herself to using the YOU Beauty Triple UV Elixir as her daily sunscreen. “What I like about it is that it has SPF 50+, PA++++, and broad spectrum that protects my skin from UVA, UVB and Blue light. And it leaves no white cast!”

2. Face massages are a must

Samantha Cruz, 22, says that she’s guilty of rubbing skincare products onto her face quickly “just to finish off my day and night routine.”

But then, she has realized the importance of face massages as it promotes healthier skin while relaxing facial muscles. Another advantage of face massage is that it enhances the effects of the facial serum we apply in our skin for bright and glowing skin.

Her serum recommendation: Radiance Up! Antioxidant Serum.

She explains, “It has Symwhite 377, known to be a safe and an effective ingredient that brightens and lightens your dark spots.”

3. Have a better understanding of products you put on your skin

There are times that, in terms of skincare, everyone wants to try products and routines that are trending on social media, seeing its effects to influencers or celebrities.

But this may not be the case for all types of skin, as 25-year-old Jrish Jimenez has learned: “I’ve learned that the best way to achieve that glow from within is to understand the need of my skin.”

This 2023, she’s able to test out and keep “non-negotiable” steps and products in her routine, particularly the AcnePlus Low Ph Cleanser.

She says about its benefits, “[It] is gentle on the skin as it has low Ph formula that is infused with Corn Mint Oil, to cleanse and refresh my skin. It’s also enriched with 4D Centella and Herbal Fusion Actives that helps reduce skin inflammation.”

4. Add eye cream to your skincare routine

Fine lines, dark circles, and puffy eyes are some of the earliest symptoms of aging. After all, the skin that surrounds the eyes are thinner, making the face more susceptible to environmental aggressors like blue light and UV radiation, which is frequently present in gadgets.

For 27-year-old Jennica Casin, these symptoms in the eyes makes her feel that she looks older than her age. But this year, she has learned to add eye cream to “prevent further the signs of aging!”

She recommends the Advanced Youth Recharging Peptide Eye Cream, which brightens under eyes and keeps it firm. Charged with caffeine and Plantide X, it helps reduce puffiness and fine lines.

“It even comes with a ceramic applicator for the delicate eye area,” says Jennica.

5. Stay hydrated and prioritize moisturizers

Aside from all the skincare products we use, the most important part of the routine is already within access: water!

Water is beneficial and keeps skin at its best. Of course, it also helps improve overall health.

Mike Cabbo, 36, steps up his skincare routine by applying moisturizers and serums. In fact, he is adding two Y.O.U products to his skincare this year!

First is the YOU Beauty Biomecera Advanced Booster Serum, which “helps strengthen the skin barrier and keeps our skin hydrated, smoother and radiant,” explains Mike.

The second is the Y.O.U Beauty Radiance Up! Deep Moisturizing Cream, which has Ceramide 1-3-6 that helps maintain the moisture on the skin.
