For the first time in forever Frozen-themed attractions in HK Disneyland are almost ready!
If Hong Kong is on your travel bucket list this year or you’re one of the lucky winners of the recent Hong Kong travel raffle by Cathay Pacific, you may want to add a stop at Hong Kong Disneyland. Most especially if you’re headed there in the latter part of the year, you might just be one of the first few people to see the new Frozen-themed park.

Disney Parks finally confirmed the opening date of their newest themed area at Hong Kong Disneyland, that’s inspired by the hit animated movies starring Elsa, Ana, Olaf, Sven, and Kristoff.
World of Frozen is finally set to open this November 2023.
Here’s what you need to know so far about the World of Frozen: the Frozen-themed HK Disneyland:
- The World of Frozen is the first Disney attraction of its kind. It will be home to its own Arendelle castle.
- It will also have multiple attractions including the first Frozen-themed coaster, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, the Frozen Ever After boat ride, and a character experience at the Playhouse in the Woods.
- The themed land will include a restaurant, merchandise outlets, and many other sights and thrills.
A first glimpse of the new park was shared in late 2022, but as November draws to a near, there are now actual footage and photos of the park in its current state of construction.
Based on social media posts of the Disney Parks team, they are already conducting ride testing on the Wandering Oaken Sliding Sleighs rollercoaster and it just got many excited.

Aside from the new themed area, other upcoming developments in Hong Kong Disneyland are expected to include: a return to six- or seven-day-a-week operations from mid-June; the reopening of the Disney’s Hollywood Hotel; and the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse statue–“Dream Makers” set for October 2023.
