Do you have plans to travel abroad anytime soon? Well, some countries require you to present a vaccination certificate. Taking this extra step may be a nuisance but for now, it’s just something people have to deal with.
On the flip slide though, VaxCertPH, the country’s online portal for COVID-19 vaccination certificates is now online and accepting registrations, as per PhilStarLife.com. Through this website, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and Filipinos traveling abroad can generate their own digital certificates for free so they can travel.
So how can you apply for a vaccination certificate through this website? visit vaxcert.doh.gov.ph and fill up the forms. You’ll be asked to read and agree to the data privacy statement, which indicates that the information shared will be used for your VaxCertPH application.
After that, the website will then ask you if you are an international traveler or an OFW in Metro Manila who will travel outside the country in the next two weeks. If your reply is ‘no,’ you won’t be able to continue with your registration as the portal is still in its soft launch stages. It will prioritize travelers within the National Capital Region (NCR) and Baguio. However, if your answer is ‘yes,’ there’ll be a prompt asking for your current vaccination status and when you received your final dose.
Then you’ll be asked some personal information and vaccination details. It’s imperative the details match those indicated in your vaccination card. Once you verify that all the information you provided is correct, the form will also ask you to type in a code for verification purposes.
The website has access to the country’s vaccination records, and once it’s verified that all info supplied is correct, you’ll be asked to prepare a photo or scanned copy of your vaccination card and a government ID.
The portal will then ask you for your e-mail and contact number. They’ll supply a reference number, and all you have to do next is wait for your digital certificate. Sounds easy enough, right?
