If the mass exodus to Manila’s infamous Dolomite Beach this past week tells us anything, it’s that Filipinos are gagging to get onto the next plane out to paradise for much-needed leisure time. Luckily, as the country’s vaccination efforts continue to move along, so do its tourist destinations in making sure that fully-vaccinated vacationers get to book their weekend getaways in the easiest way possible.

Baguio and Bohol have already made public their less stringent entry requirements. Here are a handful more stunning tourist destinations to spend your next weekend in:

Boracay

Where better to get your breather than sitting atop the world-famous white-sand beaches of Boracay?

According to the latest advisory issued by the provincial government of Aklan, fully-vaccinated tourists only need to present their COVID-19 vaccination certificate from VaxCertPH in place of the usual RT-PCR test.

Cebu

The entire province of Cebu has also gotten rid of the RT-PCR requirement for fully-jabbed tourists. Instead, they will only need to show their vaccination card with a QR code or a vaccination certificate to visit the oldest fort in the Philippines in Fort San Pedro or to lounge on the white-sand beaches of Bantayan Island.

Negros Oriental

Starting November 1, the province of Negros Oriental, home to popular diving destination in Apo Island, is also planning to no longer require fully-vaccinated travelers to present a negative RT-PCR test, nor to register to the S-PaSS mobile app to enter the province.

Iloilo

Along with the adjacent province of Negros Occidental, Iloilo will also be lifting the RT-PCR requirements for fully-vaccinated tourists.

Per Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, all travelers entering Negros Island who have already gotten their full jabs only need to present their vaccination card and certificate upon entry. This means you can take a photo-walk through The Ruins in Negros Occidental or wade the waters of Iloilo’s Gigantes Islands with relative ease.

Subic

If you’re planning a quick escape from the metropolis, Subic has also done away with requiring its visitors to present a negative RT-PCR test result. This easing applies to all local government units within Subic Bay Freeport Zone and Clark Freeport Zone, except for areas that are still under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) that will require an RT-PCR or antigen test.
