Viewers all over the world were hooked with Netflix’s new series titled Emily in Paris starring Lily Collins! While most of us are dreaming to visit the City of Love, all we can do right now if look through the scenes since traveling is not really advised due to the pandemic.
However, one Filipina based in Paris made the netizens envious after sharing photos of her visiting the film locations of the series.
Leona Diaz shared in an interview with Philippine Star that her friend just referred the series to her.
“Nirefer lang ng friend namin ‘yung [series] sabi niya marami na daw nanunuod sa Pilipinas and ayun po pinanuod namin, nakatira po kami sa center ng Paris which is 15mins walk from Emily’s apartment [in the show],” she said.

Diaz, who is a nurse by profession, migrated to Paris in 2018. She said that she can relate with Collins’ character since adjusting to a new environment can really be challenging.
“Mahirap ‘yung language since may gender ‘yung words and ‘yung pronounciation is very different. But now I’m attending classes for French language. The longer I stay here the more I appreciate there culture and fall in love with their Instagrammable Rues,” she shared with ABS-CBN’s TFC EMEA.
Diaz’s partner Jesus Victor owns a photography business in Paris called Vbrncy Productions. True to its name, they have captured the vibrant scenery of Paris that were also featured in the Netflix series.
