Mayor Vico’s unique plea to the public: stop sending him “pwet pics”

Mayor Vico has 99 problems, and your tushes shouldn’t be one of them.

On Monday, during a live Facebook video that aired at lunchtime, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto praised his constituents for taking advantage of the local government’s vaccination program, citing several photos of Pasigueños posing with their vaccinated arms and shoulders. 

However, he requested the same group to refrain from doing one thing: sending him photos of them taking their vaccine jab on their butts.

“Minsan may nagpapadala sa akin, parang naka-dalawa na yata ano, picture nila, binabakunahan sila sa pwet. Ngayon, okay lang naman na mabakunahan sa pwet, normal ‘yan, medikal naman ang usapan pero pakiusap ‘wag niyo na po isend sa akin,” the local executive appealed to his viewers.

“Ang dami ko na pong iniisip, ‘wag niyo na po idagdag ‘yong pwet ninyo sa iniisip ko,” Sotto jokingly added.

Sotto started the live video to give brief updates on the city’s vaccination efforts, as well as on the LGU’s relief distribution program.

Earlier this month, the Pasig City government opened four more vaccination sites to cater to the inoculation of senior citizens. At the end of March, Pasig LGU reported that some 10,189 frontline workers have already been vaccinated.
