Britney Spears and Sam Asghari confirmed on Instagram that they lost their baby.
“It is with our deepest sadness that we announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent,” the statement read.
Spears, who was recently freed from her conservatorship, has always wanted another child. But she alleged in court that wasn’t allowed to remove her IUD (intrauterine device). Soon after the conservatorship ended, she and Asghari got engaged. They announced her pregnancy last April.
She now thinks they jumped the gun. But her fans disagree. They think she broke the stigma of announcing pregnancies before the second trimester. Despite the loss, the couple remains hopeful. They said, “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”

Spears already has two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Sean Preston is 16, and Jayden James is 15. She started dating Asghari after meeting him on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016.
Since being freed, Spears has been more active on Instagram. She’s shared plenty of photos and videos of her time with Asghari. He popped the question on September 12, 2021, and they’re now planning their wedding.
In one of Spears’ posts, she confirmed that Donatella Versace will design her wedding gown.
