Daniel Padilla gets real with his emotions through an expletive version of “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita,” which he sang during his 29th birthday celebration in Tanauan, Batangas.
In a sentimental rendition of Rivermaya’s hit, Daniel bared much of what he feels by tweaking on some parts of the song. More so, he takes it rather boldly by incorporating profanity into his version.
In circulating videos online, Daniel can be heard singing the lines, “Ang ating ending, hatid sa bahay niyo. Sabay ‘good night,’—ito ‘yun oh—walang kiss, sabay ‘bye-bye.’”
During the interlude of the song, the actor has drawn cheers from the audience with a monologue.
“Ang iyong tinig at awitin, tuwing sasapit ang ulan, pati lupang pinagsasamahan ay napauwi sa wala dahil limot mo na—ng puso mong biglang lumisan at ngayon, p*t*ng*n* may kapiling ka nang iba.”
Daniel also had his own version of “Hinahanap-hanap Kita,” which he released as a debut single in 2012.

Daniel’s take on the song prompted netizens to wonder if he is alluding to his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo—who, just recently, has been linked to actors Alden Richards, Jericho Rosales, and Donny Pangilinan.
The ex-couple decided to part ways after being together for 11 years. The announcement was made on Instagram through separate statements they issued on November 30, 2023.
Even after their breakup, the two still seemingly hold an amicable relationship towards each other. This is evident in the succeeding events that they have graced together, such as the ABS-CBN Christmas Special on December 13, 2023 and Robi Domingo’s wedding with Maiqui Pineda on January 6, 2024.

Daniel’s birthday celebration in Tanauan, Batangas was graced by his mother Karla Estrada, father Rommel Padilla, and uncle Robin Padilla. Also present at the event were Daniel’s close friends Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo.
Other attendees include directors Cathy Garcia-Sampana and Mae Cruz-Alviar, and two ABS-CBN big bosses Carlo Katigbak and Mark Lopez.
The intimate gathering is part of Daniel’s week-long birthday celebration. He spent his pre-birthday moment at a cancer-focused organization. It was then followed by a separate event at a shelter for abandoned dogs and cats.
