Maxine Medina Ties The Knot With Non-Showbiz Boyfriend Timmy Llana

Maxine dons a flowy, Grecian wedding gown!

Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina has entered a new chapter of her life as she tied the knot with non-showbiz boyfriend Timmy Llana on Tuesday, October 3, in Antipolo City. 

The wedding ceremony took place at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Antipolo City, which was then followed by a reception at Kalinaw Private Resort. 

“I’m head over heels and dancing on air, forever grateful for this magical intimate moment,” Maxine writes in an Instagram post showcasing some snaps of her wedding preparations.

The comment section has seen an outpour of well-wishes, as other beauty queens, Bianca Manalo, MJ Lastimosa, Maureen Montagne, Nicole Cordoves, and Kezia Warouw sent their congratulatory messages. 

Maxine has imbibed an aura of a Greek goddess in her white wedding gown made by fashion designer Mark Bumgarner; her makeup was curated by Albert Kurniawan. Meanwhile, Timmy donned a classic black and white tuxedo.

Maxine was reportedly ushered on the aisle by her parents Maximo Guillermo Medina and Ma. Fe Benedicta. Timmy’s parents, Marcello Llana and Teresa Lim, have also joined the witnesses composed of their closest relatives.

According to information obtained by PEP.ph, the couple opted for an intimate celebration attended by less than 40 people; no wedding entourage, flower girls, and ring bearer. 

Tei Endecia, the event stylist, revealed that only three principal sponsors were present: “Beauty queen maker” Jonas Gaffud, Mercator Artist and Model Management Gerry Diaz, and business tycoon Ben Chan.

The reason behind it is they are planning to hold a much bigger wedding ceremony on October 10, 2023 at Club Paradise in Palawan. 

Maxine was the Philippines’ bet to the 65th edition of Miss Universe. It was held in Manila,Philippines wherein she managed to land on a podium finish as top 6 finalists. Iris Mittenaere of France was the eventual winner.
