Are CLOY Stars Seo Ji-Hye and Kim Jung-Hyun Dating?

CLOY fans had a reason to rejoice once again as rumors arose that the 2019 hit drama’s second leads, Seo Ji-Hye and Kim Jung-Hyun, are dating.

Seo played as wealthy North Korean Seo Dan who fell in love with Kim’s South Korean fugitive Gu Seung-Jun in the massively popular K-drama Crash Landing On You.

Sports Chosun, a news outlet, reported that the pair developed feelings for each other after filming of their successful TV series wrapped.

Korean website Dispatch was also quick to release photos of what they allege to be Seo and Kim in a parking garage. Dispatch claimed that the actors had been dating for a year and would frequent each other’s apartments regularly.

Apparently, they would engage in home-dates and out-of-town adventures, with Kim even moving 10 minutes from Seo’s neighborhood.

The groundbreaking news follows the January 1 reveal that CLOY main leads, Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin, were officially dating. It’s safe to say that the CLOY fandom has been getting the best of news this year.

But, considering the nature of the rumors, is it actually true?

Nope.

Tough luck, CLOY lovers. Seo’s agency, Culture Depot, swiftly denied the rumors. “We have checked with her personally, and she said that she is definitely not dating Kim Jung-Hyun,” they said in a Soompi report. “We are bewildered.”

Culture Depot did say that they were “close friends” who would often hang together at home, as opposed to outdoors, because of the ongoing pandemic. They also said that Kim had only had a conversation with Seo about the end of his contract.

Meanwhile, Kim’s camp also quickly denied the dating rumors, stating that the two only maintained a “close relationship” as “senior and junior”.

While the promise of another CLOY couple seems to be dead for now, there’s no hurt in dreaming, right?
