Considering there’s only been more than a handful of commercial animated films made by Filipinos, it’s a breath of fresh air that the next one is getting a platform as large as Netflix.

And it has a catchy title too. Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story, or according to Netflix, You Animal!, is set to be the first adult-animation feature film and will feature the voices of Angelica Panganiban, Robin Padilla, and Sam Milby.

You can watch the trailer here:

It takes place in a world of humanlike animals with real jobs and real relationships. In this world, feisty Nimfa Dimaano (Angelica Panganiban) is a “sales kitty” who’s in a relationship with the brusque Roger (Robin Padilla) who works as a janitor. The couple seems fine until Nimfa starts seeing Iñigo Villanueva (Sam Milby), a “bourgeoisie business dog,” setting up the quintessential Filipino love conflict.

The cast is completed by other big names like Eugene Domingo, Empoy Marquez, Arci Muñoz, Yeng Constantino, Moira dela Torre, and Bb. Joyce Bernal. The film is directed by Avid Liongoren, the expertise behind 2016’s Saving Sally, and is produced by Piolo Pascual, who also makes a voice cameo in the movie.

This adult-animated film reaches Netflix Philippines on October 29.
