Gloc-9 Celebrates His Silver Aniversary With New Single ‘Pilak’

The artist otherwise known as Aristotle Pollisco drops a hopeful new track.

The Gloc 9 and Yeng Constantino collab “Paliwag” reached a million views on YouTube. If you haven’t seen the MV yet, watch it here.

Following this success, the man from uphill Antipolo (known for “Lando,” “Simpleng Tao,” and “Upuan”) is set to release his newest single, “Pilak,” soon to be followed by an album of the same name.

Known to be a jeepney barker in the province of Rizal back in the day, Pollisco slowly climbed the ladder of success. He’s on his 11th album, proving that he’s among the most consistent and successful artists in hip-hop.

The single is a tribute to his fans, who helped him achieve his milestones. It offers a glimpse of his powerful tale of hustling and struggling to get to where he is today. It’s all about his rags to riches journey. This poetic masterpiece was arranged, mixed, and mastered by Thyro Alfaro.

Gloc 9, the Hip-Hop Vanguard

Gloc 9 has established himself as one of the vanguards of the Filipino hip-hop scene. Giving pure emotional honesty, the rap vet thanked the solid fans who helped him overcome obstacles and achieve milestones over the years.

Standing at the top doesn’t mean Gloc 9 forgot his roots or what he had to do to get there. He used his new single to speak to young artists just starting their journeys.

(As the song goes, “I know it’s not right to stop and you shouldn’t / ‘That’s my advice to you so you won’t fail / Thanks to everyone who opened the door for me / I’m OK with silver if I can’t get gold.”)
