The SpaceX billionaire says he has “semi-separated” from the pop musician.
Three years after their relationship and 16 months after having their son X Æ A-Xii, Elon Musk and Grimes have settled on going their separate ways.
Musk, the 50-year-old founder of SpaceX and Tesla, confirmed the news to media outlet Page Six, claiming that he is “semi-separated” from the Canadian musician.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms,” Musk told Page Six.
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
Grimes was last seen flying solo on the red carpet at the Met Gala earlier this month, though she was spotted linking up with Musk later on inside the event. The pair was also seen enjoying a starry Met Gala afterparty that the billionaire threw, as per Page Six.
Grimes has not responded to any request for comments.
It was also during the Met Gala event back in 2018 when Musk and Grimes made their romance known to the public, following the former’s split with celebrity Amber Heard. The couple welcome their first child, baby X Æ A-Xii, to the world in May 2020.
