They shouldn’t have to miss you if you don’t leave in the first place!
PSA: the McDonald’s Twister Fries is back.
Now, if you haven’t yet seen the frenzy on your news feed over the returning fan-favorite, that’s probably because another ad has gunned for your attention: one of another French fries brand: Potato Corner.
As a response to the red-and-yellow brand’s returning Twister Fries, Potato Corner posted something to start a little friendly fire: a photo of their version of the spiral-cut fries called “Loopys” beneath the short but snappy message: “Never Left.”
“Don’t call it a comeback. We’ve been here all along. Loopys are available all year round,” wrote the famous food franchise, poking fun at the fact that Mcdonald’s Twister Fries comes and goes a couple of times a year.
Certainly, McDonald’s holds on to seasonal menu items because they build massive hype once they’re brought back, which leads to better sales. But Potato Corner does have a solid point: people like the spiral-cut salty fries anyway, so why not keep them around for good?
In any case, we still win. There’s no need to compete because we’d gladly take home a tub of either the Twister Fries or the Loopys.
You can get McDonald’s returning Twister Fries for P74 for the regular size or for P159 for sharing via dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, or the McDelivery website or mobile app. Meanwhile, Potato Corner’s Loopys are available through Potato Corner At Home, or by dropping a line at the Potato Corner Community Market. You can also check out both offerings through food delivery apps Foodpanda and GrabFood.
