My Chemical Romance releases cruelty-free makeup collection — gets sold out in a day

American rock band My Chemical Romance collaborated with cosmetics brand HipDot to release a cruelty-free and vegan makeup collection inspired by their iconic album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

The makeup was made available to the public last December 10 and was immediately sold out after a day. The collection consists of  double-ended liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow palette with nine shades, and a retractable eyeshadow brush. Prices range from $12- $24.

In a report by Refinery29, HipDot co-founder and chief executive officer Jeff Sellinger said, “The rock music scene has always used makeup as a tool for further expression.”

“The band’s history of bold hits and unique sound aligns with the sort of creators we at HipDot are, and so believe this would be the perfect partnership. We are excited to bring My Chemical Romance’s cult fan-following the homage they never knew they needed.”
