10 Local Destinations that You Can Visit Without a Swab Test

You can now book plane tickets this holiday as Cebu Pacific announced it has simplified its travel requirements. The budget carrier is no longer requiring passengers to take RT-PCR and antigen tests before traveling to 10 destinations under its network. Even so, take note of these other travel documents you might need before visiting the following provinces.

Destinations That Don’t Require Swab Tests

Local destinations that are eliminating a negative COVID-19 test results include Bacolod City, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo City, Maguindanao, Butuan, Cebu province, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Pagadian, and Tacloban. However, passengers would still need to provide travel passes, medical certificates, or vaccination cards before they bound for these provinces.

Other Travel Documents Required

Passengers traveling to Cebu must provide a medical certificate confirming that they are free of COVID-19 symptoms within 24 hours before arrival, according to the airline.

Those traveling to Pagadian must provide a valid government-issued ID with their Pagadian City address. Transiting passengers are exempted from this requirement.

Fully vaccinated passengers may only travel to Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Tacloban, Iloilo, and Butuan 14 days after their final dose. In addition, you’ll need the following requirements to enter.

Bacolod — BacTrac registration, online Health Declaration form, S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit (TCP), and a valid personal ID
Butuan — TCP from S-pass and valid government-issued ID on the system.
Cagayan de Oro — S-pass, OPCOoorS, and StaySafe.PH registration
Guimaras — TCP from S-Pass
Iloilo City — S-Pass Registration
Maguindanao — valid ID and travel order for APORs
Negros Occidental — TCP from S-pass and completed StaySafe.PH registration
Tacloban — Registration under Balik Tacloban Project and certificate of quarantine completion with vaccination status

“We are encouraged by the efforts of these LGUs to open up their borders and simplify travel requirements,” Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog stated. “We share the goals of the national government that we do not contribute to spread the virus, by implementing a safe and risk-based approach to travel,” she continued.
