The Circle Hostel temporary closes its two branches

The pandemic has been affecting several businesses and lately, it has taken its toll on the popular hostel for backpackers, surfers, and solo-travelers. After years of service, The Circle Hostel, which has three branches in Luzon, is saying goodbye for now to travelers.

Their branch in Liwliwa, San Felipe, Zambales and Sabang, Baler will temporarily close while The Circle Hostel in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union will remain open.

“It is with deep sadness that we have to say “Goodbye, (for now) Good Vibes Gang.” It has been such a rollercoaster these past few months, and we have come to the conclusion that the Baler and Zambales hostels must close their doors,” it said in a statement they issued yesterday, October 19.

“Thank you to everyone who has joined us in Baler and Zambales, over the years. Thank you to the local community that we became part of. Thank you to the hardworking staff members that became members of our hostel family. There truly were no strangers,” it added.

The Circle Hostel is known for its laid back ambiance where guests can get to meet other friendly people in their spacious common area. There are no private rooms except for their Baler branch but travelers can rest in bunk beds or hammocks.
