WATCH: Netflix’s sneak peek into the first five minutes of Trese’s opening scene

Alexandra Trese is almost here!

To get fans even more pumped for the arrival of Trese, Netflix released an official teaser featuring the opening scene of the upcoming series on early Thursday morning. The streaming site released two versions of the trailer showcasing both languages dubs in Filipino and English.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the role Alexandra Trese plays in the series: a detective who deals with crimes of supernatural origin.

Hindi sila napipigilan ng mga posas,” Alexandra Trese, voiced by Liza Soberano for the Filipino dub, narrates.

It might be just a handful of minutes, but everything about the trailer’s animated dystopian Metro Manila was on point: the dreary slums, the Jollibee logo flashing on the marquee, and even the hard Filipino accent was accurate. Heck, even the MRT breaking down between stations was relatable according to Filipino fans on the comments section!

This latest sneak peek into the upcoming animated series follows Netflix’s recent marketing stint where Trese billboards were spotted vandalized and ripped apart by supposed “creatures of the night.” Be that as it may, we still haven’t figured out how they did it as of writing.

Aswangs beware: Trese premieres on Netflix on June 11 at exactly 12 midnight
