Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has given another big gift this holiday season!
After surprising a navy veteran with his own Ford pick-up truck last month, The Rock gave another car for Christmas. And this time, it’s for his own mother, Ata Johnson.
“This one felt good. Surprised my mom with a new car for Christmas today,” he posted on Instagram.
The Rock shared a clip showing him and his two younger daughters, Jasmine and Tiana, leading Ata to where her new white Cadillac XT6 was parked.
“She was shocked. She got a few good ugly cries in. Then once her [grandbabies] joined her inside the car. She was overcome with pure joy,” he said.
“I’m so grateful I can do this kinda stuff for my mom, who’s had one helluva life. I don’t take any of it for granted. Neither does she.”
He ended his post with a sweet message dedicated to his mother. “Merry Christmas ma, enjoy your new ride!!! 😊🙌🾠And your Elvis records 🎶🕺🽠We love you. You deserve a lot more.”
During a special screening of “Red Notice” in November, The Rock also gave a Navy veteran and personal trainer named Oscar Rodriguez his custom-designed Ford pick-up truck. He said that among all the fans present at the event, he chose Oscar because of his inspiring story.
“I gathered as much information as I could about everyone in the audience and ultimately, Oscar’s story moved me.”
Aside from being a Navy veteran and personal trainer, Oscar is also a leader at his church, gives support to domestic abuse victims, and takes care of his 75-year-old mother.
“I’m just the one lucky soul that [The Rock] took notice in,” Oscar said. “Every day I step into this truck, I’ll be reminded of my purpose. Love!”
