Sandara Park’s Filipino beer and pulutan trends on Twitter

Sandara Park may be a big K-pop star not but she definitely did not forget her love for the Philippines and its scrumptious food.

The South Korean pop star took to social media to share that she is happy to spot a Filipino restaurant in Seoul that serves her a delicious Filipino inuman staples – the extra-strong Red Horse beer, sisigkang kong, and garlic rice.

Sisig and kang kong and garlic rice and Red Horse ang dinner ko ngayon—ang sarap! May nahanap akong masarap na Pinoy resto sa Seoul. Super happy ako!” Park wrote.

Red Horse immediately trended on Twitter and her fans could also relate to her as sisig is often the best partner for a beer.

This is not the first time Park shared her love for Filipino food. In one of her vlogs, she went on a Filipino market in Seoul to buy her favorite frozen goods and also Mang Tomas, her favorite Pinoy condiment.

Before becoming a big star in her home country, Park first rose to stardom in the Philippines after joining ABS-CBN’s now-defunct reality talent search show Star Circle Quest in 2004. Dubbed as the ‘Pambansang Krung Krung,’ she starred in several local films, commercials, and TV series. She also released her debut album in the country back then.

In 2007, she went back to Korea and trained under YG Entertainment. She soon debuted her international career as one of the members of 2NE1, an all-girl South Korean group, in 2008. They officially disbanded in 2016.
