Say bye to online events and hello to offline concerts! K-pop fans have been on a rollercoaster ride ever since live event schedules came out. If you’ve been a fan of the genre for a long time, you’ve been waiting for one show in particular. And without fail, Super Junior is here to deliver with Super Show 9.
Pulp Live World made the announcement back on June 30, 2022.
Sure enough, K-pop titos and titas rejoiced in knowing that Happee Sy, aka Inang, will be at the helm.
K-pop fans love having Inang as the event organizer for K-pop shows. There’s an even greater show of love when it comes to Super Junior concerts because she’s a fan herself. It’s a good explanation of why SS9 in Manila has a standing section while other stops don’t.
In a quote tweet, Inang quips that you’ll be a super ELF if you stay strong in the standing sections for over three hours. This alludes to Super Junior moving around their massive stage during their concerts.
Super Junior made their official debut on November 6, 2005. They are one of the few second-generation K-Pop groups that are active in the industry. So it’s no surprise to see fans getting nostalgic.
This year will see the 17th anniversary of Super Junior’s debut. SS9 in Manila is sure to bring back memories as the group performs classic hits like Sorry Sorry and Mr. Simple. Newer songs like Black Suit and Mango are also on the setlist. Fans can also expect stages from Super Junior’s soloists and sub-units.
Tickets for SS9 in Manila went on sale on July 17, 2022. Fans stormed ticket counters for the chance to see Super Junior back in concert.
For those who haven’t decided whether to see the show, you still have time. Tickets are still available via SM Tickets.
