Heads up, commuters! MRT adjusts operating hours for the holidays

Commuters who rely on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) should plan their trip accordingly as Department of Transportation announced the new operating hours for trains leaving North station and Taft Avenue station during the holidays.

December 24 and 31

North Avenue

• First train: 4:37 a.m.
• Last train: 7:45 p.m.

Taft Avenue

• First train: 5:17 a.m.
• Last train: 8:25 p.m.

December 25 and January 1

North Avenue

• First train: 6:30 a.m.
• Last train: 9:30 p.m.

Taft Avenue

• First train: 6:30 a.m.
• Last train: 10:10 p.m.

January 2 to 5

North Avenue

• First train: 4:37 a.m.
• Last train: 9:30 p.m.

Taft Avenue

• First train: 5:17 a.m.
• Last train: 10:10 p.m.

Since it resumed operation after a series of maintenance check, MRT-3 recently announced that they have boosted the operating speed of trains to 60 kilometers per hour (kph). The last time the MRT-3 ran for 60kph was back in 2013.
