Kris Aquino has plenty of titles: actress, host, endorser, queen of all media, daughter to a national hero and two former presidents, producer… and the list goes on.
Currently based abroad due to an ongoing battle with multiple health conditions, the most important title of all to her is still “mother.”
Kris’ two boys are the love of her life, she’s constantly said in both interviews and the lengthy Instagram posts she’s becoming known for.
On June 4, Josh, her eldest son with ’90s action star Philip Salvador, whom she dated for a time, turned 28. While they’re not physically together, she made sure to mark Josh’s 28th birthday.
As part of the celebration, Kris publicly commemorated Kuya Josh’s with one of her signature IG posts.
He is currently staying in the Philippines with relatives while she continues her treatments in the US. The photo Kris chose is a closeup of a smiling Josh.
While he does not seem to have an Instagram account of his own, renowned designer and long-time friend of hers JC Buendia was tagged.
The caption reads, in part: “Kuya, i miss you and i love you so much… you’re where you want to be, surrounded by so many who love & care for you.”
Kris went on to talk about how proud she is of Josh’s recent weight loss achievements thanks to his discipline.
She also touched on her health, inadvertently giving everyone an update: “mama needs a year & a half minimum of treatment because my latest blood panel confirmed i have 5 autoimmune conditions. Mama will need to semi-isolate in 3 weeks because my immunity already went down.”

She also highlighted that for Josh’s 28th birthday, “[s]ome people who love & miss you from here + 1 super special person will arrive in a few days to personally bring home all your gifts.”
Kris, however, did not mention the name of the “super special person” she was talking about.
At the end of Kris’s post, she just promised her eldest that she is “taking care” of herself, mentioning that Josh always reminds her in their message exchanges.
